DCWV Corrugate Christmas Gift Tag

Want a unique touch to your handmade gift tags this Christmas Season? Add a real pine tree sprig.

I created this large gift tag with DCWV Box of Corrugate Cards, and placed an oval piece of grey paper on top.

I strung a Blue Moon Beads Wish Charm on some silver string and wrapped around the tag.
I cut a small piece of a pine tree, sprinkled with some white glitter and then added some Blue Moon Beads Silver Round Metal Beads as ornaments.

This tag was quick and easy to create, and is sure to gain some attention!

DCWV - Metallic Gold Tree - Cork Advent Calendar

Everyone loves to countdown to Christmas.
Make it easy on yourself, and fun for everyone with an Advent Calendar.

I made this fun little tree from a few cuts of wood, metallic gold spray paint and a bunch of nails.

For the numbers I used the DCWV Natural Cork Stack, a circle punch and some white paint. Each circle is hand painted with a number, and then hole punched at the top. They are simply hung off of nails.

I crafted a bunch of cute little gifts to sit under my tree, but you can put real gifts if you'd like! These darling DCWV Boxes all come in one nifty package. A large variety of sizes for all of your little gifts. And we all know the best gifts come in the smallest packages!!

I wrapped them with some fun DCWV papers.

Another fun wrapping idea is to use a standard circle hole punch and DCWV Metallic Cardstock. Punch a bunch of circles and randomly stick them on the box with GlueDots! Perfect polka dots!

Deer Silhouette Home Decor

Have you wanted to create a home decor project, that seems a bit larger scale than normal? And you just can't find the right supplies to make it, without piecing together paper, and having seams in your project?

Well DCWV has heard your request and created larger stacks.

For my latest project I used the DCWV Project Basics: 24"x36" Silver Glitzy Glitter Sheet. Yes, that is 3 feet of amazing silver glitter!!

I have been in love with the 'deer silhouette' for a while now, but thought now is the perfect time to custom make some decor of my own. Now that I have larger scale paper to work with. Of course, I used some old pallet wood. I just love the look of it after staining it. I don't even sand it down or clean it up. This is raw, dirty, used pallet wood!!

In the DCWV DIY Project Wreath Stack, there are cardboard corrugate sheets. I used one of these as the backing for the deer. Just to give it a little more stability.
I found an image of the deer silhouette online, and printed it out. Traced it on to the corrugate, cut it out and sprayed it metallic silver.
I then traced it onto the DCWV Silver Sheet and cut that out.
I secured them together, and then to the wood.

The Deer Silhouette Decor fits perfectly into my new Winter Season home decor theme. It accents my handmade metallic silver Christmas Trees and my recent Faux Tin SNOW Blocks project, perfectly!

If you love these Wood Trees, head over to my Etsy to order!

Bring on Winter!
And... I mean it, please. We are still flooded with heat here in Southern California! We want Winter!

Deer Charm Necklace

Christmas is coming up, and I love to put together an entirely new outfit for the day. I received some FotoBella Juniper Berry Charms this month, and I knew I had to make a necklace with them!

I fell in love with this Deer Charm, it is 2.5" tall! I paired it with some fun Blue Moon Beads clear faceted beads, metallic silver beads and this incredible triple link Blue Moon Beads Chain.

I can't wait to wear this!

Jewelry Starter Kit

As you may know, my biggest fan is my niece. She loves every piece of jewelry I make for her. Last Easter I sat down with her and we created some unique jewelry just for her. She seemed to love it, so as a Christmas gift I thought I would give her some beads and findings, and see what she creates on her own.

I started with this cute little jar.

She plays guitar, so this DCWV music paper from the DCWV Premium Paper Collection was perfect! I cut a flowing shape out of it, then spritzed it with water. I then took Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and rubbed it along the edge. Holding it upright made it run with the water drops. I then took a wet cotton swab and added slight shades of Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers and Milled Lavender Distress Inks throughout the paper. I then sprayed Time Holtz Perfect Pearls Mists in Biscoti over the entire paper to give it a nice shimmer.

After that dried, I secured to the jar with ModPodge, and went on to add some DCWV Adhesive Jewels and Buttons. I found this cute purple Butterfly on the DCWV Premium Paper Collection, cut it out and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Milled Lavender Distress Ink, and glued it to the jar.

On the top of the jar lid, I cut out this amazing Black Sparkle DCWV Premium Paper and secured it with ModPodge. I cut a "J" out of the Adhesive Jewel Sheet, and then cut some flowers and leaves out of the Premium Paper Collection as well.

I filled this cute jar with beads and added it to her starter kit of elastic, cording and glue. I can't wait to see what she creates!

Thanks for stopping by!

If you are rushing to get your gifts wrapped, and don't want to go out to the store one more time, and buy wrapping paper... just use some of the beautiful DCWV paper!

With these gifts, I used 2 sheets each, and added a couple strips of contrast ribbon around the paper seam. Add a DCWV Christmas Tag and a bow.

RePurposed Holiday Gift Box

Happy Holidays!!

The countdown to Christmas is in full swing.. with only a few days left!

What is more meaningful then the gift itself? Well the thought of course!! But next up... the packaging. Everyone loves a custom, handmade package to show just how much thought was put into the art of giving.
Grab your DCWV Holiday Glitzy Glitter Stack and Winter In the Woods Stack. Find a brown ink pad, some ModPodge, scissors and a random box that might be just the right size.

I chose this GoPro box. I loved the size and the little insert.
Start measuring, cutting, ModPodge-ing..

Pretty soon you will have the perfect custom gift box to hold your thoughtful Holiday Gift!

Christmas is Closer Then You Think!

Ok, if you know me, then you know I already have Christmas on my mind by now. Once i get through everyones birthdays in July (which is most of the family and friends), then my Christmas list starts.

In the new, very generous box from Blue Moon Beads I saw these large beads that were made from tiny seed beads, in great warm and gold colors.
I instantly thought these would be a great detail on my Christmas Tags this year!

A rough draft that will be perfected over time, but, what do you think??
