Colt Layout

Introducing the newest member of our family...
Colt R Anderson

My baby nephew surprised everyone, about 10 weeks early. He is the cutest, tiniest thing ever! I am so excited to be able to craft his scrapbook now too! (I make his older brother's scrapbook also)

I used the DCWV Treasures and Good Wood Stacks for this layout. Both stacks had all of the perfect prints and embellishments I needed!

Like these fun Polaroid picture shapes.

And these tags with the perfect words!

I love the wood panel prints, so I made this 3D wood frame to 'frame' the layout. The wood alphabet blocks worked perfectly to spell out his name as well.

National Scrapbook Day

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

What an incredible thing to celebrate, a hobby that not only preserves life's memories, but also reduces stress! And I know I could use more de-stressing!

This month, as a Brand Ambassador for Tombow, I was completely spoiled with a large package of goodies from a couple different craft brands. But I pulled out a few of them to work with on my NSD project.

Once again, Tombow knocks it out of the park with an easy to use adhesive! The Mono Permanent Adhesive tool fits perfectly in my hand, glides on easily and has a handy little plastic flap that closes over the strip, so it doesn't get dirty or stick to everything in sight!

I loved this Simple Stories Carpe The Heck Out Of This Diem saying from their Carpe Diem Collection Kit. I thought I would make it stand out a little more, and colored it with the Tombow Irojiten Vivid Colored Pencils.

Here is my Carpe Diem Layout:

On this layout I also used items from the Fancy Pants Attwell Collection, they blended perfectly with everything I picked out for it!

How are you celebrating National Scrapbook Day?

Lil Monster is an Artist

My nephew is the cutest thing on this planet.
He knows the way to my heart. He models for me, has conversations with me, and I found out he loves to draw!

I created this Lil Monster Artist layout using the Bo Bunny Lil Monster I Want It All Bundle from FotoBella. He had drawn pictures of all of us, when we were on vacation. So I snuck a few from his notebook to craft a layout with them.

How cute is this!!

Let It Snow Layout

Have you sat in a hot tub in the winter, while it's snowing?
Well you need to try it!

Then, to create the perfectly snowy layout to remember those moments, grab the DCWV Christmas Village, Favor Boxes and Ornaments Stacks!

It's hard to tell in the picture, but the layout sheet is a beautifully thick, textured, glittery page from the back of the DCWV DIY PROJECT STACK - CHRISTMAS VILLAGE.

The adorable snowflakes came from both the DCWV DIY PROJECT STACK - FAVOR BOXES and the DCWV DIY PROJECT STACK - ORNAMENTS

And of course, I always love to throw some darling Blue Moon Beads Charms in wherever I can! This little metal snowflake charm was perfect!

DCWV Ready-Made USA Layout

What could be more easy than a DCWV Ready-Made Layout Page?
Not only do they prepare the layout page for you, but they also give you the option of customizing it as well.

Here is my USA Layout
I added some DCWV Cork Circles, wrote 2013 on them, and then painted some sparkly stars on the layout with some Martha Stewart Garnet Glitter Craft Paint.

First Day Layout

I love being able to capture a single moment, and be able to tell the story to everyone, simply through the amazing paper and incredible embellishments.

I am completely spoiled by DCWV, and with so many great products, I wanted to use as many as I could in a single project.

For this layout I hope I captured his pure joy and pride, but also if you read into it, you can see his parents are sad he's growing up too fast!

DCWV Buttons and Ribbons finished off the page with a pop of color.

In creating some layers and dimension on my page, I mixed some gel medium with Folk Art Paint in Light Blue, used my Scor-Pal Tool and rubbed it over a triangle shape stencil. The paint mixed perfectly and I loved I was able to customize a color to match.

Say Cheese - Chalk Art Layout

I am in love with all things - chalkboard!
This Chalk Art Stack by DCWV is just fabulous! The thick paper sheets even have a wonderful chalkboard texture!

For this layout, I used a Chalk Art Stack sheet for the full page.
I combined this with a teal sheet from the Shimmer Stack and these perfectly adorable Insta Photo Fun Cardstock details.

I wanted to give the page a more personal touch, so I used the Folk Art Paint in Teal and Hologram Extreme Glitter to highlight, outline and add texture to the page and the Insta sheets.

I then created 2 flowers and added some wire wrapped Blue Moon Beads silver beads and Journey charm to finish off the page.

DCWV Christmas 2014 Layout

I hope everyone had a great Holiday!! However you celebrated, now comes the exciting part: start scrapping those memories!!

I couldn't wait to start in on mine.
I started my scrapping off with a sketch from DCWV. It worked perfectly with the papers and the fun theme I created.

Here I used a variety of wonderful DCWV products including the Christmas Creations Stack, Adhesive Glitter Paper, Adhesive Jeweled Sheet and Adhesive Mirrors. I secured the whole page with some Scor-Tape.
